Which blocklists matter most?
Spamhaus ZEN (SBL/CSS/XBL/PBL) and DBL are the most predictive, with Barracuda as a strong corroborator. We treat noisy lists (e.g. UCEPROTECT L2/L3) as advisory only.
I'm listed — what do I do?
Fix the root cause (compromise, poor list hygiene, high complaint rate), then request delisting on the operator's site. Use a clean, dedicated, warmed IP.
Why does a check say 'unknown'?
Spamhaus blocks queries from public resolvers. We use our own recursive resolver; transient errors are reported as unknown, never as 'listed'.
